Last month saw our celebration of the 40th year anniversary of the Town Cryer Mr. Jim Weeks (Pictured Front Left). Jim started his role in 1984 where he was presented with the office of the then Town Clerk Mr. Ian Hay. Forty years on, again at the Pannier Market, Mr. Weeks was proudly presented by Bideford Town Council Mayor Ms. Rachel Clarke with a portrait of him sporting his full Town Cryer regalia in the Town Council Chamber.
