Bideford Christmas Lights Switch On will be on Sunday, 1 December with celebrations starting from 12 noon. This is always a great family event and fully funded by Bideford Town Council.
A free event involving town traders, music performances, fairground rides, stalls, with the big Christmas Lights Switch On at 5pm.
This year’s programme looks like this:
• 12-2pm Quiet opening – minimal noise from any attractions to allow anyone with sensory sensitivity to enjoy the rides without the noise
• 3pm Race the Reindeer
• 5pm The Lights will be switched on
• 5:30pm Children’s Lantern Parade throughout town
• 7pm Event closes
There will be food stalls on the Quay and Jubilee Square. The live music stage will be located in the Quay Car Park, opposite the High Street.
Bideford Pannier Market will be open too from 9am to 9pm for A Big Merry Yule Market
