Bideford Library is housed in the historic Bideford Arts Centre, built in 1896. The library opened here in July 2023, after an extensive refurbishment, and offers a full range of library services for adults and children in a bright and airy space with views across the River Torridge.
Children have their very own library and as well as a fantastic range of books, the friendly library staff host regular story times, sensory play, Lego club, and lots more activities.
The library is situated on the 2nd floor, there is level access to the building and a lift for ease of access.
Bideford Library has the addition of The Juniper Room on the 1st floor, which holds the Pearse-Chope Collection, and is available for hire during library hours.
